Job Description

G2i is at the forefront of AI innovation, partnering with leading AI labs and technical founders to build next-generation developer platforms, data tools, and operational dashboards that power the AI frontier.

As a Staff Engineer, you will be pivotal in setting technical direction and elevating the execution standards within a high-performing team. You will guide architecture and delivery across modern full-stack systems, specifically utilizing React 19 and Node.js. Your responsibilities will include establishing durable engineering practices and ensuring rapid development without compromising quality.

Key Responsibilities

Lead and grow an engineering team: hiring, coaching, performance management, career development.
Set and evolve technical strategy for developer platforms, dashboards, and internal tooling.
Partner with Product/Design to deliver roadmap outcomes with high velocity and strong craftsmanship.
Establish engineering standards: code quality, testing, documentation, security, and operational excellence.
Own delivery health: sprint/iteration hygiene, predictable execution, and strong on-call/incident practices.
Drive architecture decisions across front-end, back-end (tRPC encouraged), and deployment (Docker + CI/CD).
Build a culture of ownership, feedback, and continuous improvement across teams.

Qualifications

7+ years building software, including 2–4+ years leading teams (EM/Tech Lead/Head of Eng).
Strong full-stack understanding (React + Node.js), modern front-end patterns, SSR/performance, API design.
Experience with shipping and operating production systems (cloud, CI/CD, observability, incident management).
Proven ability to balance speed with quality in startup environments.
Clear communicator with strong judgment and a track record of developing engineers.
